The Anti-Cycling League

Last evening, whilst out cycling around Bristol, I encountered a member of the Anti-Cycling League.

I was returning along the St Philips Cycle-Path when she leapt out from behind a bush and blocked my way, brandishing a placard and demanding that I get off and walk!

Apparently the ACL are against cycling because it promotes “unhealthy obsessions”. What these are, who knows – when I asked she chased me with her placard, foaming at the mouth and shouting, “Legs! Legs! Teeth… and LEGS!”

Luckily I was able to retrieve my bike (the trusty Bellinda) and continue my journey. These light evenings certainly seem to bring the nutters out.
